Buffalo Head Black Powder Horn

This Black Powder Horn is made from a steer horn. The large end has a hand carved piece of wood shaped into a buffalo head. One side of the powder horn is a scrimshawed picture of a Mountain Man getting ready to shoot a deer. The other side is has scrimshaw work of another Mountain Man and in the background there is a bear coming at him. The border on the large end has oak leaves and acorns scrimshawed on it. The small end has been carved down and scalloped and grooved for the braided leather lanyard. The plug for the small end is carved into the shape of morel mushroom or molly moocher.
