Nautical Theme Black Powder Horn

This Black Powder Horn was made from a longhorn steers horn and has a nautical theme to it. It has a 5/8" wide heavy leather adjustable strap for carrying. The butt of the horn has a piece of Black Walnut carved into the shape of an Octopus with its tentacles carved into the horn. On the throat of the horn I carved a Great White Sharks head with its mouth open as if it is swallowing the small end of the horn. Then I left a ring to attach the carrying strap and on the other side of it I carved part of an anchor. The plug is made from another piece of black walnut and carved to complete the shape of the anchor. The plug has a piece of silver chain attached to it and the other end is attached to the ring below the anchor. This is to prevent losing the plug when using the horn. On one side of the horn is two old wooden ships and the other side has a sea serpent scrimshawed on it.
