Possible Bags


The possible bag was used by Mountain men and Native American Indians to store all of there possibles such as extra flint, caps, balls, patches or anything they may need for there flintlock rifles and hunting.

Possible Bag

This Possible Bag has a design of a Turkey Head on the front of it. Some pieces of the black leather were cut out and other colored pieces of leather were placed behind the cutouts and sewn in place. There is also a red circle around the turkey made from leather. The strap is braided with black and red leather strips.

This Possible Bag was customized with a Turkey foot and two Turkey spurs attached to the flap.

I customized this Possible Bag with circular cut out on the flap and a lighter piece of leather was sewn in for a contrasting color. The center design represents the four directions, north, south, east and west. There is a deer antler button in the center that was smoothed down and attached to the flap.

This Possible Bag was customized with a deer antler button to hold the beaver tail flap closed. On the side where the strap attaches to the bag there is a hunter’s star sewn into the leather with imitation sinew.
